Overdosage of music. We're taking a break but not at the same time.

7-Day Forecast was dropped yesterday and overall it was a sucessful tape. We got a lot of love from all the fans, including the starCHasers  (Shoutout to Chris Baker) so we appreciate that #Deadass.

The League is taking a break from music. But The League is gonna keep making music and overdosing the  world with it. Confused?

J.Styles- Star Watch coming out very soon. Hopefully match it with a Thanksgiving release? (TBA).
I'm very excited for  this tape because it truly shows the power and lyrical content of J.Styles. Out of all of us, he might be the most under appreciated by people and this tape will show why people shouldn't F*#k with him. Lyrical content, along with the punchlines and the heavy hitter beats (You are now in tune with Arab Music). All that will wrap up into one of the best tapes any of our artists have dropped.

T.R.U.T.H. and D-Prince- This Life Of Love
Woody's Lovelife EP was definitely a classic. Of course it is in our honor to be making a tape about love, love interests, and love problems. I  will explain my situations and how they apply to my everyday ideology. I will show my flaws and how those flaws create my strengths. T.R.U.T.H. on the other hand will show the struggles he's had in his relationships and how these create his mindset and thoughts about the concept of love. This is one of the only mixtapes that we have with a lot of features. Singers, Female Rappers (JUICY WHERE YOU AT?), and other rappers, along with the deep metaphors and lyricism, will create a tape full of emotion, love, and will make listeners explore their own feelings and emotions to see if they have been taking the right actions when dealing with the concept of love.

Erion- Unsigned: Coming To You Live
This tape is gonna be super dope with Erion finally coming out with his solo tape. This tape is gonna be an amazing mixtape filled with different aspects of hip-hop.

After A Day Of Normalcy The Weather Is Beginning To Take A Turn For The Best (Our 7 Day Forecast Was Correct)

The long anticipated 7-Day Forecast has dropped and the verdict on it is favorable we can live with that from the forecast given from the rest of this week expect mild temperatures (nothing too hot or too cold) I think the analogy is quite easy to catch if not think hard if you think you thought hard think harder if you've thought the hardest you've thought ever and still don't get it #KanyeShrug. This week has started out pretty good we're trying to get back on the horse with the Black Friday Cyphers so expect one this week I think there a general good feeling felt by all of The League right now for different reasons but all that matters is there is a good feeling let the rest of this week be all clear skies

Hard Work, Better Music

We of The League regret not posting much in the past days but this is only because we're getting ready to drop one project and are currently working on another. "The 7 Day Forecast" or the Storm Tape as many refer to it as is almost finished, there are just a few more things left to do. God willing we will hopefully release it this weekend or early next week depends on what Dboy is planning keep you guys posted on that. Then from there me and Dboy are working on "A Life of Love" the tales of the hardships of love and romance we've had we've recruited the help of many on this project we wont put out anymore info on that than we have to so just keep a lookout for any hints we may drop. Then from there or in between there we want to shoot some music videos and not any flip video camera stuff either we will try for the best we can get so get ready for those. There are a lot of improvements we've made with our projects this time around individually and as a group I hope you guys can recognize and appreciate that when you hear the finished product of all these songs we're going to be giving you guys to hear.

Until next time.

Presently Thinking For The Future

7 Day Forecast

This project represents all the opportunity presented to The League. This is aBIG project in meaning, short in content but some of our best work as a group. I would like to take this next sentence to give a HUGE thank you to Storm Watkins he may be one of the coolest producers we've met over the course of the summer and the end of this year we will continue to thank you for your generosity as a producer. The reason for the name well take that last sentence into deep thought and you'll know why we named it 7 Day Forecast. This project will speak for itself it really shouldn't need a lot of promotion but of course we will promote it nuff said

The only single for this project is here
http://soundcloud.com/just-us-league/fake-tears-prod-by-storm-watkins

Yet To Be Named

Me and Daniel have two projects in the works but I'm gonna focus on this right now. We called it Yet To Be Named because well I frankly wasn't sure what to name it this project is all on Charles Hamilton beats. I admit to lagging crucially on the verses but the first official single from it is Loser. Pretty good feedback from the StarCHasers so far. I would like a real response from Charles about it. As far as track listing we got some of the classics and out there beats fromHamiltonstrumentals put together by Halo "DjH2" Stevenson thank you for that. This project will probably be in the works for some time until we make sure it's absolutely perfect so I will leave you all in suspense.

The first single from this project here

A Life Of Love

This project was in no way shape or form planned out it began as just two tracks from Woody's LoveLife album which he generously put out all the instrumentals from. This is a project in which Daniel gets very what's, the word for it, he shows emotion to say the least. Me I speak on past crushes and future relationships I got the inspiration to do this from writing the song Leave Me Alone which I enlisted the help of Gabrielle Thompson, probably one of the greatest singers I've heard in my life #DEADASS. The song will be one of my best works because of how far out of the box I stepped you can read the lyrics in my notes and see. The thing which inspired Daniel to do this project is the ability to do different things with it the ability to get different artists and introduce another new artist Kevin Allen, who I've been working with him personally and have seen him through his growth, on the song Racing which is also going to feature Gabrielle. This project needs a special touch and a special release date. We will definitely keep you guys posted

The first track from this project here

Hope everyone is ready to see how we've grown as a group

"They Said You're Cold As The North Pole"

I make a lot of friends hardly keep half of them because of my personality and my way of "killing a moment" in other words I'm a downer. What do I have to say to this I don't care everyone else is so f*cking optimistic all the time I feel the need to bring some realism to them does that make make me a killjoy? To anyone who says yes get out of lollipop gumdrop land and wake the hell up sh1t is f*cked up in this world and it only gets worse with each passing day. everyone gets all excited about going off to college until their last day of college then it hits them the real world smack the living sh1t out of them and to those that think their degree is securing them a job it isn't look at the economy PhD's applying at Mc Donald's MIT students may be safe maybe even Harvard, Stanford, and Yale students but you others are not so when you get out of college have that plan B ready that's my realism for the day life is much colder than the north pole ever could be.

So many songs, It's considered a Super Session.

This weekend was definitely a weekend full of work. We OhDeeeeee'd in the booth. And that's no exaggeration. (8 complete songs)

T.R.U.T.H. came over to the studio friday night and immediately we had to record. It's been a while since he's been here.

1st track of the day.

What Would You Do?- Woody. Dboy/DNO/D-Prince and T.R.U.T.H.

This song is deep from the soul and brings forth a couple of questions. Specifically, what would you do if you had the chance to move forward? *What's the ideal woman for someone? All these questions are answered.

*This song was indirectly linked to someone on D's verse. Fuck it!!!

After that we went straight to the next song.

Loser- T.R.U.T.H. and Dboy/DNO/D-Prince

Loser by The League (JL)

This song means a lot to both of us.

"Have you ever had the feeling where people gotta call you a loser sometimes? No support, no nothing?"-D.

"How does it feel to wake up to the feeling knowing that a rapper can actually have feelings?"- T.R.U.T.H.

This song took 3 hours to make. Super soul. It's ridiculous. If you say this song is garbage, Battle.

Then Erion came in, made so many songs. (6 to be exact)

Check out his tape coming soon. Straight bars.

Where Was We Found (I'm Beamin') by The League (JL)

I don't even feel like typing anymore. The music definitely explains for itself.

Origins: First song That The League Got On As A Group

Family Reunion by The League (JL)

Family Reunion= First track that The League got on (Known as the Just-Us League back then)

First comment. Family Reunion was the instrumental that we used. Joe Budden. Fabolous. Ransom. They murdered that beat.

"You got mail? Nah you got shells and my Mac you can't use for Ichat"-Fab. Jesus.

The concept was dope. It was our first track as a family. We became a union, thus the term "Reunion", "Family Reunion'. Indeed.

Erion is on the first verse, and let's just say he did the beat justus (pun).

"Women tell me Oh My God like it's my religion, making money off rap like it's time for christmas."-Erion.

Next was Dboy on the track.

"My family makes money pure point dollars, hustlin' and investin' ain't no problem."-Dboy

T.R.U.T.H.

"Tag team  bless ya whole squad, leave you filled with more holes then Spongebob."- T.R.U.T.H.

J.Styles might be tied for 1st place on this track.

"Each verse subtract ya neck off a jackknife, Any of y'll disses I'll respond with a website Dot Dot Dot Y'll Niggas really light- J.Styles

Overall this track was dope but don't judge off of old music. The music that we are doing now destroys this music tenfold.

I sense a re-up to this track though. #Pause

Origins: It's The League Tag

Garrett Labrie
Indeed
Hit me up if you want some pics done.

If you have heard our music, then you are probably familier with the phrase "It's the...It's the league..." We decided to use that as our little tag. Whenever you hear that, you will know that it's The League on a track, whether it is production wise or rapping wise.

Origins of this tag:

One Take (So Appalled) CLICK TO LISTEN

Props given to J.Styles. This might have been one of the only songs that each of us only took one take. Styles OD'd on the first verse, I did fantastic on the second verse, and T.R.U.T.H. was ridiculous in his verse. It was all a FREESTYLE.

"Don't even try to have an Identity Crisis, what you trynna end up LIFELESS?"- T.R.U.T.H.

"Don't get your crew circled, pi R Squared"- J.Styles

"Stop making these Frankenstein experiments, Hip-Hop ain't dead, cuhz I'm still living it"-Dboy

This song took 15 minutes to make, mix, and master down. And what was the result?

SLEPT ON! -_-

Shinin' (As Mimicked By The Sun)

So this is sort of a follow up to the post from Monday (As I said I would post) to explain my happiness well 17 years ago today I was born *gasp* it's my birthday oh excuse me correction it's my birth week so I'm gonna be playing "November 10th" - Charles Hamilton (aka Professor Francis) all day on repeat so anyone with something to say to me that isn't positive kiss my grits (insert offensive gesture here).

I honestly have no plans for today except to enjoy it plain and simple surround myself with good people; my family, friends and whatnot, oh but i do plan to go to a game store and pick up Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm 2 *has nerdgasm as typing this* chillin this weekend and thanks to those who wished me a happy birthday today some because Facebook told them but hey idc either way at least they said it unlike some people who've know me for years and forgot that my birthday was today (insert angry facial expression here) anyway that's all I have to say for now :)

One Day, Just Not Today

One day The League might be known for more than just blogging, putting out music, and cypher videos. One day we might win a Grammy for best song, or even best album of the year. One day we just might suprise a few and do something out of this world. One day we may have fans that don't just consist of friends. One day we may have a biographical movie made about us with famous actors portaying us. But just not today today we have a few fans which we appreciate in every sense of the word that quote us in Facebook statuses. Today we have talked to famous people and even had them play our songs to their fans via Ustream. Today we have about 80 followers on twitter. Today we only have a mic (which is falling apart), a Midi Keyboard (we don't know how to use), a Mac with garageband software (we have pro tools but don't know how to use it), and our recording studio is a bedroom, but that's just motivation to turn one day into today, to turn maybe in to certainly, to get over 100,000 followers on twitter, to make that platinum album, to go on tour, to have fans cheering for us, to get our first music video, to be in the BET Hip-Hop Awards Cyphers, to be called a legend. So yea one day may not be today that doesn't mean we aren't trying to make it happen. All dreams aren't farfetched ideas the opportunities are out there just look.

Shoutout To My Long Hair! You'll Be Back Soon!!!

Ayo,

After hearing what CH did to Willow Smith's "Whip My Hair", I had to get on it.

Here I present "Shoutout To My Hair"

Definitely are some puzzles to decode in the song. See if you could figure it out.

Shoutout to Starchasers.

It's The League and don't forget it.

Venting

I'm really like no other, I just write until my bodys paralyzed like I was on the gridiron as a rutger, started to write because of my mother, now the coincidence is I might stop because of my mother, this is a midterm grade, its kinda too late to clean up the mess i already made,  refuse to be remedial , and  nah I aint evil, i just stay with the brass like William regal, because the world is not safe ever since the avatar came and left, and they ain't really asking for a sequal, boy I've been doing since I was fetal, I'm here, Roger that, mason, your boy is hogan and  that giant is what I'm facin if I hope to be the greatest, now it's either black out on an instrumental or go off the temple, and the last option could be i'm locked in something like a redbox, no movie rental

You know who i run with....J.L.

They Just Don't Understand Us

Some try to comprehend why one would want to be in the music business (or more specifically rap) there are reasons one is to get rid of the negative connotation associated with the word rapper (i.e drugs, degrading women, getting arrested, and violence) which is not to say we're goin Disney with it either (bars are bars and if there's a certain way you have to be spoken to to get the message then by all means we shall) there are messages/stories in almost every song every lyric everything, anyway you look at it there's always someone who's gonna come with that question of why and you may get annoyed and feel like jabbing them but it's something we all go through I can't help but think some people who say chase your dreams would change their whole view after you say you wish to pursue music in fact i know of a few like that and it's like do you hear yourself that to me is the biggest hypocritical statement that can be made by any one person it's nothing one should dwell on but when it happens almost daily it's like well would you like to be me then would you like to live through my daily life some people just don't understand until they themselves have gone through it which most who say such things have passed the stage at which such journey can be taken so I say all of that to say this don't knock what you don't know all about don't categorized everyone associated with something because that's the only thing you see on the surface what about the people not doing these things and what about the people pushing these people to do these things (i.e people who criticize, paparazzi, talk show hosts) all people who've never been through such so what you don't understand don't poke or prod it research it learn more about it. One love.

No Rest For The Weary

Stay Up

(It's The League And Don't Forget It)

" Shinin' " Though The Sun Isn't

It's cloudy out in L.A. today but at the same time bright though it's gloomy makes sense to some no sense whatsoever to others I'm " Shinin' " nonetheless " Beamin' "even (Shinin' on repeat as I type this)

Why am I so happy today why will I be happy all week well I'll leave that to you guys to decide I'll tell you myself this Thursday or rather you guys may tell me (I'll leave that for you to "Decode"[shout outs throughout this entire post])

I called off my date to homecoming/kinda killed off asking for prom as well but things happen plans change and people feel pressured it's my fault and sorry to the person who was asked it's all good and I'm good (Ain't nobody f*ckin wit my "Latte")

Last Black Friday went well I OD'd on the freestyle as did my comrades and we found a beat for the cypher this friday as well i know you're wondering wth is "Black Friday" about well let me explain and not explain at the same time "Black Friday" just is what it is what we do on said day may change from week to week what won't change are the cyphers they stay in place "Black Friday" has symbolism and no meaning "black friday" to many refers to the day after Thanksgiving or Christmas which everything is sold at a reduced price or virtually free the meaning carries over but doesn't at the same time because at the present time everything we do is free but well as the weeks go on it may or may not gain a meaning whatever the case may be it's a JL thing #KanyeShrug all  I have to say today

#Starchasers Project

Shoutout To Chris Baker! (His Picture)

A couple of people have tried to get this concept going for a while now. Unfortunately I have only heard of a couple tracks and a full tape (Correct me if I'm wrong.).

Alright so,

This tape will consist of 10 tracks.

1. *US #Starchasers- Us Placers. Lupe Fiasco.

This track's concept is to explain who we are, Starchasers but also our own artist. we aren't ripping off Charles Hamilton's name. We deadass pursue the dream as well.

*Even though this track is already closed if you still send your tracks then i will continue to mega master them down and include them in the tape.
2. We Stars, Course We Shining- Charles Hamilton

This track's concept is to basically show that we are shining as well. Express this through story, straight OHDEE bars, or any other way you can.

3. StarBeaming- I'm Beaming, Lupe Fiasco

This track's concept is to show that we are united as a family. We aren't just a bunch of fans, we are believers and in that we deserve to stay together and support each others musical dream.

4. Starchasers, Represent For Them Girls- Brooklyn Girls

This track's concept is to basically represent your women from whatever city you from. This could range from L.A- Wyoming. No matter what city you are in represent your women!

5. Straight Bars- DJ Premier It's All Real

This track's concept is to spit straight heat. Show that you have the ability to turn off all bodily functions and OHDEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!

6. Starchasers Till The End.- Starchasers- Charles Hamilton

This track's concept is to show your loyalty, to not diminish yourself from the music and state true to yourself. Don't worry bout the fame, worry about yourself being changed.

7. Delivery Is Key - Delivery Or Digiorno's- Charles Hamilton

This track's concept is to show your delivery. Show that your delivery is better then the Busic (Bullshit+Music) that's being played on the mainstream. Demonstrate using hard bars and everything!

8. Talent Show- Charles Hamilton

This track's concept is to show the talent. Open-ended concept.

9.  Two Chances, One Take- Two Straws, One Cup- Charles Hamilton

This track's concept is to show that you can't be without H.E.R. (Music). Open Ending.

10. Happy Ending- Charles Hamilton

This track's concept is to end this tape with a bang. STARCHASERS!

Hit us up for the instrumentals. Most you can find on youtube but ask us if you want us to send it to you!

#Starchasers Stand Up!

I Typed In Just-Us League In Google...Look What Popped Up -_-

Oh Lord

Google has this picture on its images, as the 1st picture on the first page. I know everything we post to the internet will appear on google, but i didn't know that this would pop up on the computer on a SCHOOL computer, with no prior knowledge of The League.

This was our initiation, the first project that we, as a group, completed. Unfortunately, it was our worst as well.

Good Things?

Our lyrics were solid, the concepts were original, and the instrumentals we used fit the group. It was also on hotnewhiphop.com's most hottest recent artist, and their top downloads as well, scoring in at download 617. Our first song on the tape, Angels, got 1679 plays. Listens were booming, almost rising in numbers 300-400 times a day. Someone was bumping our music.

Bad Things?

Sound quality was garbage. GARBAGEBAND VERSION 3.0 ON A BOO-BOO LAPTOP. It had a lotta promotion but it was annoying to some people (don't care). Plus we gotta whole lotta hate was well. Overall it wasn't our best. Horrible work ethic. The comments that are on the mixtape comment are #Deadass what people said about us.

You must go through Trials and Tribulations(Song Idea?) in order to get better.

This is a perfect example.

High School Society... Are We Losers???

To a certain extent, yes. We don't fit in the norm of the school. For example, when people usually speak to us, it is in a mocking sense. People seem to think that The League is a joke. Is it?

Take into consideration that we put our heart and soul in our music, and sometimes we don't get  credit for it. However we didn't ask so it isn't that bad then right?

If you don't like the music then that's fine. Even if you think we are joke that's alright for you to think. But if you disrespect the work ethic that we have put in then we have problems!

Will we do nothing about it? Probably not, except we will proceed to continue dropping the music that S.H.E. deserves (shoutout to Common Sense). Cleansing what garbage (I won't even call it music because it's not, I'll call it Busic [Bullshit+Music]) is playing on the radio isn't the main focus of The League.

It is to present music to the masses without conformity to the mainstream.
Continue listening and supporting.

It's The League and don't forget it.

Where Have We Been, We've Been Here The Question Is Where Are We Going

To be honest we haven't left we've been going places but none too far away never fell off to those who've stuck with us you know that we've been slept on we've had our struggles as friends and as a group in general but never once have we split contrary to popular belief we've added members dropped members had a member who dropped himself currently have a ghost member who pops up out the blue we have numerous affiliates (shout out to Elvin and Space.Age.Music, Starchasers what's good the list goes and goes) but as far as the definite and only members of The League (JL) Are J.Styles, Erion, D, and myself so no one just adds themselves this is a brotherhood (no secret society though) so to those who had a question about who we are there is your answer

New Blog, New Style, New Everything...Not Really.

Had to discommish the blog that we had before. It was full of susness, no management. Plus we didn't know how to handle it.

Decision= New Blog

Along with that we developed a new sense of style. The only thing is that we had this style the whole time. So does that mean we are just showing ourselves again? Indeed.
